First mission
About two minutes. This is not the exam.
- Press Start session. Wait until the terminal prints a green line:
You're in. The cluster is ready.
The status line can say Session connected before that line exists. Typed commands go nowhere until the green line is there. Then run:
kubectl get nodes
You want one node in the Ready state.
- Create one ConfigMap in the
default namespace:
kubectl create configmap kubelab-hello --from-literal=msg=hi

Press Grade on this page. Both checks should pass: a node is Ready, and ConfigMap kubelab-hello has msg=hi. You can open the score page to see the same result.

Press Continue to CKAD · Ghost when you want the free mock. Ghost is 16 questions in four 30-minute sections. Closing the tab does not pause a section. On Ghost the cluster closes after 20 minutes with no keystrokes, with a 90-second warning first.
This lab's own clock is 10 minutes. It starts when the cluster is up and keeps running if you close the tab. Here the cluster closes after 8 minutes with no keystrokes.
